Dear flist, or random people passing by,

which drama should I watch next? This is srs bsns, you know. I haven't seen any of the newest ones, besides Atashinchi no Danshi. And it could totally be an old one too, as long as it's subbed. If it stars anyone from Kanjani8/KAT-TUN/NEWS, I've probably seen it, though.

Also, I do actually have Yasuko to Kenji, Bloody Monday, Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Innocent Love and Tokyo Friends waiting on my hd, I just can't decide if I want to watch any of them right now. Opinions?

I can't be expected to make these decisions on my own. :P

Nummelin + lasit = YES PLEASE.

Ärsyttää kun en oo tänä vuonna ehtinyt tarinoida lätkästä sen kummemmin. Toisaalta eipä tuolla oo Mikko Koivuakaan, en ois kuitenkaan päässyt oikeaan fiilikseen. :/

Ja Rudi on kingi!

I'm still figuring out what exactly I'm going to do here, but oh hi, here I am anyway. :D

(And testing something, don't mind me.)
I think my ears are bleeding. It's entirely possible.

But whatever. NYAPPY! ♥

They started and ended the gig with my favorite songs, namely Cherry Saku Yuuki and Smile Ichiban Ii Onna. I kind of think An Cafe have some mediocre songs but either they didn't play any of them tonight or they make everything sound goddamn awesome live.

MIKU. ♥ I was on Kanon's side and pretty close to the stage, definitely closer than at Miyavi's gig (but that was Tavastia, so it's not saying a lot) and I had a direct line of sight to Miku pretty much the entire gig. He's an awesome performer, holy fuck. Incredibly charismatic and just so much fun to watch. (And his patented striptease move! Hells yeah. I don't know how many times he did that, I lost count.)

So, yeah. Might have fallen for that dude, especially during the encore when he was wearing the Nyappy shirt and just smiling and bouncing around (okay, he did that the whole time. Damn hyperactive hamster).

Also, when Takuya came to our side, I realized he reminds me of Mameshiba (or Sato Takeru, but you know). That was surreal.

Nyappy in the World 4 was designed to make you (read: me) smile. SO MUCH LOVE. ♥ And the fucking duck! I was listening to that song yesterday but I didn't know they would play it tonight. Eeeeeee. And the random Muumi. ♥

I stood in line for about two hours and froze to death (at least my toes did), but whatever. I also hugged Pikachu twice. I mean, a girl dressed as Pikachu. Hello.

Also, I HAVE NEVER FELT SO TALL. Everyone was the size of a pre-teen Ryo-chan. Possibly because a lot of them were pre-teens.

And Miku threw water on me, which I appreciated because it was HOT. As expected. And all the Finnish! Whatever, "rakastan teitä" from a Japanese dude will always make my day. ♥ And now I don't remember who was so careful about getting all the Finnish words right. Teruki, maybe? So adorable.

And I bought a tour shirt. And and and! The whole thing was amazing. At least I don't have to think twice about seeing them in the future.

What the hell, An Cafe. I wasn't supposed to fall for you.

ETA: Yeah, had to upload an icon. That's Miku. ♥

I screencapped the hell out of Johnny's Countdown, but ugh with the horrible quality. Therefore, just my favorite fools starting 2009 in their usual style:

There is just something amazing in bandom every day, isn't there? It never ends.
[...] It is not enough to have the potential to act virtuously. The winners at the Olympic Games are chosen only from the competitors and not from those who might have run faster had they entered the events. Similarly, only those who act win the reward in life. And the reward in life is true happiness.

We're not getting the new X-Files movie (!!!) until August 1st, but Sub is showing five episodes tonight and another five the night after that. I think they're all s6. The last ones end at like 5.30am and of course I have all of these on tape already, but guess who's going to end up watching them anyway.

It's also Animecon this weekend. I'm expecting exactly zero seconds of sleep until sometime Sunday evening. WHEEEE.

It's raining cats and dogs. Happy Midsummer!

I just saved about 500 pics, no lie, and I absolutely have to share a couple of them because I am just. Confused/amused/enthralled/I'm not sure there are words to describe this feeling. So!

Ack! Do I watch the game with actual significance (Czech Republic vs. Turkey), or the one with my favorite team playing (Portugal vs. Switzerland)?

Decisions! Currently going with Portugal fangirling. Might switch to the other game closer to the end.

Yeah, no. I'm watching CZE-TUR after all, because this one isn't boring as hell.

Football, version shallow. Or, I don't know, pictures of happy players make me happy? Or just pictures of players I like. Or pictures of players I hate being sad. Whatever, it all works for me. And for some reason the best pictures on YLE's site are all of Portugal, it seems. Which is great, because #2 favorite team and all, but Hollaaaaaand! Oh well.

I would link to the individual pics, but I'm not feeling particularly evil today. So, we have: Portugal-Turkey game, where the main point is the team pic, awww (Ricardo! It's good that I'm not biased). Also, Portugal-Czech Republic, with such gems as half of Ricardo's face! + some dude (okay, Ronaldo, you're kind of pretty), Petit taking a nap, and Cristiano Ronaldo/Nuno Gomes, y/y? That's certainly not the best picture of those two during yesterday's game, that's all I'm saying. (And okay, let's include the Holland-Italy, as well. There's celebrating! And stupid faces.)

Euro2008 starts today! I'm so sad about the lack of England, now that I could've supported them from the start. (My issues are legendary, though also in the past now.)

So, after I went looking at which teams are playing (and maybe more importantly, which players), my favorites are Portugal (Ricardo!!!), The Netherlands (van der Sar, hello!), and possibly Italy and France. I don't know how I feel about Sweden, but I still hate Greece.

Yes. Going to see Miyavi in July. Fucking hell. \o/

The stress of buying tickets just about killed me. Heh. But I got three, since I convinced the brothers to go with me (not that it was hard), and ALL IS GOOD IN THE WORLD.

Miyavi, baby!

I've been having these Brendon thoughts lately. I mean, sure, RyRo is my boy, but the more I listen to that pretty odd album a certain band recently released, I keep having thoughts like "Brendon, baby, call me. Let's talk about all these things that we so obviously have in common." I may be losing it.

In other, very much related news: one of my neighbours looks JUST LIKE Mikeyway. I swear to god. I did the most embarrassing doubletake the first time I saw him. He was carrying a guitar case, hello, what the fuck.

And then, today, I ran into a dude who was the longlost twin of Patrick Stump. And I'm not really complaining, because these things are at the very least totally amusing, but where are my Panic boys? Really.

Anyway. I still love Kanjani8 more than any of these fools, I'm sorry to say. Subaru, baby. ♥ (see icon)

ETA (the next day, when it's actually appropriate): Happy birthday, Leena! I'm sure you're lurking somewhere out there. ;)
Heh. "More." Anyway!

*Current favorites: Northern Downpour and She Had The World, like, times a million. Relatedly...

*There are SO MANY songs on this album that make me cry. The thing about AFYCSO is that it's SO uplifting, even when you pay closer attention to the lyrics and realize they're not necessarily at all about happy things. Still, at best they're kind of bittersweet, maybe, not making me weep like the little emo girl I sometimes am. Um, my point being that these two albums are VERY different, which I think everyone and their dog noticed after two seconds of listening, but they're also both really coherent wholes, amazingly so. I approve. But it also means that it's extremely jarring when my playlist goes from an AFYCSO song to a P.O one, or vice versa.

*I actually think I could sell PatD to a lot of my friends if I just gave them Pretty. Odd to listen to. Whereas AFYCSO totally won me over and I know I'm never going to experience that kind of insane love no matter how awesome their future albums may be (this is not a Panic thing, it happens with every band I fall really hard for. I might continue loving them for years, even decades to come, but there will always be an extra special place in my heart for the thing that first made me love them), I know it would not work in the case of a lot of people I know. Pretty. Odd, on the other hand, absolutely would, I'm convinced. I just haven't tested this theory yet.

*Ryan's voice is magic. I can't even talk about it. Before I'd heard any of Pretty. Odd I was watching live bits on Youtube obsessively because of his singing, which is so awkward but endearing, and OH MY GOD HIS LITTLE VOICE. I don't know. Brendon and Ryan singing together is just one of the happiest things I can think of right now. <3

Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] alicated! I hope your day and the coming year will be wonderful. ♥ (And what better opportunity to use my newest icon, featuring TLW's fabulous Alice.)

So, tonight I: watched Hot Fuzz (OMG LOVE! Everyone who pimped it to me was so right) and finally got around to listening to A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. I've been reading bandom fic for a few weeks now, and for some reason I instantly developed a fondness for Panic at the Disco (Ryan Ross, guh) to the point that I don't want to read fic about other bands (though the thing about bandom is that the fics are pretty much *never* about just one band, and I don't mind, but I want PatD, especially Ryan/Brendon, to be the main focus). SO. ANYWAY. Now that I've listened to the songs, other than I Write Sins Not Tragedies which I couldn't have escaped even if I'd wanted to, I am in love with the music as well. (And this reading fic before knowing the source material thing? Very typical for me.) Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off is the SONG OF MY SOUL, oh my god. I mean, this is the song that would have owned me completely if I'd heard it when I was in high school, which is not to say that it doesn't have a profound effect on me right now. And it is seriously disturbing that all these guys are such BABIES. Not that I really care, as everyone I've fangirled recently (see Johnny's Entertainment, kthx) is as well.

Ahem. So. I guess I'm a bandom convert now, or something? Because the thing I obviously need is new fandoms, dear god.

ps. This week's SPN and Lost? So much goodness. And Kame remains the most adorable thing evereverever in 1 Pound no Fukuin.
