I have a ticket to see My Chemical Romance in March. \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/

...I love how my all-encompassing bandom tag is still about Ryan Ross's stupid face. ♥
Okay, so the Britney episode of Glee is just PURE GENIUS. BritBrit, my homegirl. <3

Pretty sure everyone who cares has already seen it, but when there's squee to be had, it's never too late to join in!

(I have no more bandom icons! Woe is me.)

It's World Cup time! I'm mainly rooting for Holland and South Korea (their game is on right now and AWESOMECAKES, babies), maybe-kinda-sorta Portugal, England and Japan. And Italy? Yeah, I'm pretty much only loyal to Holland, but I also can't watch a game if I don't have a clear favorite going in.

I bought the complete box set of The West Wing (sadly, just region 2) a while ago because it was practically free (what? It totally was), and now I'm contemplating getting Monty Python's Flying Circus as well. I love/hate you, play.com!

Also, in more material girl news, I found Megadeth's Anthology: Set the World Afire for the totally decent price of 10 euros, but when I went to pay for it, it was apparently just 5.95. That should happen more often.

So that was a completely different Team Finland from yesterday. Bronze! \o/

And jfc, SLEEP.

Seeing that they still spell ä and ö as ae and oe in some Olympic events (but not all? lol what), I realized that it would lead native English speakers to pronounce my last name as Lamesay. I'm just saying. If I ever need a stage name for whatever reason, I'm definitely going with that.

I'm kind of glad I've gone back to paying more attention to JE recently, because really, kpop is not a particularly happy place right now. It's not even the Jay thing, because I got into 2PM knowing all about the drama and angst, so I don't think I have any right to complain when the fandom delivers on that. But also SuJu! SJ-M, especially. I hate getting all serious business about fandom because it's always been such a fun part of my life, so basically I just like to ignore all negative things as much as possible. The boys of Kanjani8 are still as random and silly as they've always been, right? Give me my YasuBaru, stat! (I really feel like watching old Countdowns right now, actually. I might do that while waiting for Finland's bronze game.)

Okay, yeah, my current music reminds me that bandom isn't all that shiny and happy these days, either. Oh fandom.

I had to pinch myself to check that I was really awake. 6-0 for USA after first period! I mean, I feel bad for the guys, but this is genuinely funny. Maybe "funny" is not the word I'm looking for, "hysterically absurd" might be more like it, because seriously Finland has never sucked THIS much. No. Not ever, since the days of Soviet Union or something.

Guess the only way is up? OR IS IT.

...Bronze game, here we come!

Kiitos luottamuksesta, ulkomaalaistoimittajat, mutta ei, kyllä Suomi vaan oli NIIN huono. XD

No ei mitään. On sitä huonomminkin pelattu Ruotsia vastaan! Useinkin. Tästä voi vaan parantaa.

I keep getting new icons but then I never post, so nobody gets to see how pretty they are. And I have a Kame mood theme! I think I'm just going to start picking a random mood every time to see what comes up. Actually, I'm moodswingy enough that I don't even have to do that.

OLYMPICS IN FOUR DAYS. Not that I'm counting.

Also randomly, or not quite, I spent most of last week listening to Adam Lambert (AND REALLY LIKING WHAT I HEARD *__*) mainly because I saw FYE on Voice and got curious, and apparently I'm really easy to win over. I already liked the guy from what little I knew about him, but seriously his music is also insanely fun. I'm sure everyone knew this already! I'm just fashionably late as always. Also, I would just like to say that I totally blame [livejournal.com profile] flabbergast for most of this. (Obviously not the part where I was sadly behind on the times.)

Okay, I'm pretty sure I won't pass my exams by writing nonsense about Hongki's ridiculous(ly adorable) expressions and the fact that certain plot elements will ALWAYS work for me, no matter how often I see them.

asdfghjkl seriously need to get a grip right now. But since I already returned the assignment that's due tomorrow several days ago (I know, I was shocked too!), I'm technically not procrastinating. ...Right?

But I'm seriously going to read some sociology before bed. Promise!

Hee. This was really too awesome not to share, although I guess you have to understand Finnish to properly appreciate it. Link via [livejournal.com profile] flabbergast.

Ugh, we FINALLY managed to watch Countdown. It wasn't as epic as last year's (or some other previous occasions), but it made me feel warm and fuzzy and full of love for JE after being so kpop-focused recently.

some highlights I can remember )

Everyone who cares has probably seen this already, but it's my happy place, so here you go! I wouldn't even describe this as Heechul in drag, since it's mostly Heechul in his natural element. But this video is definitely something that I personally want to end the year with. (I also really fucking love Minho in this.) ♥

gee gee gee gee )

Happy New Year, everyone!

Just in case I haven't told you personally yet. And man, there are a lot of you guys this year. You're all amazing. ♥

So I'm sitting here wearing my The Phantom Menace shirt I bought in high school, drinking coffee and finishing up my thesis while trolling Youtube for Zhou Mi goodness, and you know what? Life is pretty sweet.

happy boys (and girl) make it even sweeter )

Have a music meme! I think everyone and their dog should do this.

You can learn a lot about someone by the music they listen to. So here is the game! Hit shuffle on your ipod or mp3 player and write down the first 26 songs. No cheating or skipping songs that are shameful. That is the fun!

Dudes, I don't do shameful songs. There's no shame in music! That said, let's see what I'll get. XD

The most amusing thing about the new season of (Finnish) Big Brother is that there's a dude called Nino. And I think he's gay? I can't actually keep these guys straight yet, pun very much intended.

It was Kanjani8's 5-year anniversary yesterday, and I only realized it when I came online today and my flist was full of celebratory posts. I love this fandom, and I love Eito. ♥
One of my favorite things about the former Panic(!) at the Disco was Brendon and Ryan singing together. Now they're being cruel and have denied me that goodness (okay, I know the old songs haven't disappeared, right), but still, at least they're both still singing. I actually really really love New Perspective, and The Young Veins' (teehee! No, IDK. New band! New name! You have to admit it's exciting) Change is nothing but precious to me. That's the best word I can find for it right now.

Also really randomly excited about Miyavi's baby. IDK! Because he's so excited about it, I think. It's adorable, really. ♥

Sometimes there's the most amazing and unexpected result if you just put a little effort into things. And no matter what, keep smiling. ♥
